Love Offering

We discussed in our class on Sunday, Feb. 17, the prospect of collecting and giving a love offering for David and Candy Kelley. As you know, the Kelley's are members of our class. Their son, Matt, is a student at Union University and was trapped in the recent storm debris of the dorms. Matt is currently in intensive care in Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Matt sustained injuries that are not life threatening. However, the Kelley's have maintained steady presence with Matt since his rescue. Being away from home and work may be accompanied by some financial hardship. As such, we are wanting to collect a small love offering for the Kelley's as a gesture of our compassion and love for them. Hopefully, they can use the gift for the incidental expenses that accompany being away from home. Perhaps, this might be a hot cup of coffee, a decent meal away from the cafeteria or a tank of gas that would permit them to be with Matt and continue to support Christin while she continues life as a high school student. We will collect the gifts on Feb. 24 to deliver to the Kelley's. At this time, this is not an effort by the church at large. This is a gift from the Just For Parents class. However, other gift will be welcomed.
